Problem: You have one skein of Flikka or Comfy Cotton Blend in your stash and don't know what to do with it. Solution: I made you a tote pattern! And it's free! You'll also need a little Worsted and a little Super Bulky. I used the Flikka color Dill Pickle because I couldn't resist the adorable name. Once I got the yarn home it reminded me so much of a cactus that I hopped on the cactus trend bandwagon and whipped up my version of a cactus tote complete with a big blooming flower! This tote has lots of pretty details both small (a subtle fan stitch and surface crocheted strap) and big (aforementioned flower). And it doubles as a purse! The tote takes about 4-6 hours. I hope you enjoy the pattern!!
Other supplies needed: Leisure Arts Diamond Art Heart Kit Hole Punch (approx. 1/4”/6mm hole) Purse Handles Fabric for lining (optional) The Tilted Heart Tote is blingy, fun, roomy, and a unique combination of yarn and a very special fabric! Photo tutorial included! The Tilted Heart Tote features the Leisure Arts Diamond Kit in the Heart Design, which inspired the rest of the tote, and is clearly the centerpiece! While I took inspiration from the fabric in the Heart Design for my pattern, you could use this same idea for any of the Beginner Kits, which have a finished area of 8.7″ x 8.7″. "This Knit-Like Pouch is a free crochet pattern on my website. It is much easier to crochet than it might look. And yes it's crocheted with the waistcoat stitch, which is also known as the crochet knit stitch. Add a little button to the front and the pattern is complete for you to enjoy as your notions or accessory (or nicknacks) pouch. With this design, I will teach you how to crochet the beautiful waistcoat stitch."
