This versatile pattern is described as part cardigan, part poncho, part wrap, and part scarf. I adore how this trendy scarf can be worn as a cape with the arm holes!
"This adorable cape is figure flattering and functional with the arm openings. This unique shaped cape is made from two different sizes of half circle starburst shapes for the front and back. The cowl mimics the stitch pattern but worked in the round with gentle increases for volume. The Georgina Cape and Cowl feature Be So Vivid Yarn; 70% cotton / 30% acrylic, #4 worsted weight, self striping yarn; 306 yds (280m) per 3.5 oz (100g) ball. Be So Vivid Yarn can be found exclusively on Kristin Omdahl's website."
Although it is called The Granite Cape, this beautiful pattern is anything but rigid. So named for the granite stitch (which you might know as the moss stitch), this crochet cape features a beautiful design as well as elegance and sophistication. The stylish collar instantly dresses up any outfit that you wear with the crochet cape, so go ahead and throw this on over a pair of jeans and a T-shirt before meeting your friends for brunch next weekend. This cape will also be the perfect accompaniment to your little black dress or similar dressy outfit this fall and winter.
A while back I created the Hoodie Cowl, and ever since I have been wanting to create a hooded cape based on it. I finally have, and it's everything I hoped it would be! The hood still has the cable running up the back, and the cape features 3 cables, one on the back, and one on each of the front edges. The cape can be completed with 3 skeins of Lion Brand Scarfie. Enjoy!
