I love crocheting for the guys in my family. Crochet sweaters, such as the Brentwood Pullover, are my favorite projects for the guys, but when I'm in the mood for a smaller project, crocheted hats and scarves are it! When it comes to designing for the guys, I tend to stick with basic crochet stitches as I feel they give a more classic look. The Reversible Basic Ribbed Scarf is a very simple pattern that uses alternating rows of only 2 stitches to create its reversible ribbed design.

The finished size is 49 inches long and 9 inches wide as written but if you would like a longer scarf to wrap around your neck multiple times you can simply continue on with the pattern instructions until you run out of yarn :) This scarf is crocheted in one-piece with the edging row designed right into the beginning of the pattern. This way you can match up your colors and continue the scarf smoothly and with only the beginning and ending yarn end needing to be sewn in. I love this stitch pattern and this easy scarf pattern.
