This Dessa Dot Blanket packs a fun little punch with perfectly spaced, extra chunky bobbles. It is a relatively lightweight piece that flows with an effortless drape, and is versatile enough for both adults + little ones.
This geometric crochet lapghan can serve as a small blanket for the couch or the car, and it can also function as a decorative rug. High contrast streams of bobbles accent a simple base of double crochet to bring a modern aesthetic to this easy project. I am obsessed with the uneven striping and lines of bobbles in this blanket!
Although this piece is really meant for the home, I saw so many wearable blankets on the runway this season, and I can definitely see myself sporting this over a sweater while social distance dining outdoors as the temps start to drop!

The free Bunches of Bobbles Blanket pattern makes a gorgeous crochet baby blanket - or throw, afghan, or bedspread! It's modern, unisex, and features a unique border you'll want to apply to future projects too! I really enjoyed making this blanket - and coming up with a border design that would compliment the 3D aspect of the bobbles, without distracting from them - and I think I've hit the mark! While I made this blanket baby sized, I've included the stitch count along with info on how to create your own custom size!
This Bobbles and Stripes Blanket is an easy blanket crochet pattern, perfect for enthusiastic beginners as it uses a variety of basic crochet stitches and easy color changes!
The blanket is finished with a simple border along all four sides, complemented by a jumbo multicolored tassel on each corner. The finished baby blanket featured in this patterns photos measures 37.5” x 38.5.”
This modern double crochet v-stitch chunky blanket is a wedding gift. I have had this Caron One Pound yarn in my stash for a while now. Thought it was time to get something made with it. The blanket had to be large enough to cover a queen sized bed. As you can see from the photo, it is large enough. Not too large though so that one or two people can snuggle under it. Additionally, this had to be warm enough to be the go-to blanket on our cold winter nights. Using two strands of yarn makes this a fun and chunky blanket. It also makes for a very warm blanket. I will miss having this cover me up while crocheting when it is below zero here this week. Brrrr. The double crochet stitch is a quick stitch to master and once the pattern is started, there is really little need to count. For me, this makes for a great crochet pattern to work on while watching movies. I think this is a great beginner stitch once you have mastered the double crochet stitch. It is always easy to see where you need to insert your hook in the previous row.
