Large Whale Toy Crochet Animal

Amigurumi and Toys

This crochet pattern is a great place to start because the finished product is a large, 45cm long stuffed whale toy. While this project requires a little more time than a traditional amigurumi project, it is well worth the effort and would make an excellent gift for children.

If you’re planning a family staycation this summer, this handmade crochet children’s toy would make an excellent travel companion that also doubles as a pillow for those long car rides.

Walter the Whale

Amigurumi and Toys

Walter the Whale is a cute little amigurumi project. You can crochet him im an evening with only some left over yarn and two black eyes. (Stitching on the eyes instead of plastic one is also perfectly fine.) Walter will do great as a key chain. Or you could make multiple whales to put them on a mobile above a crib. They look great in every color. Before you know it you will have a whole rainbow of whale lying around ;)

Wanda the Whale and Ned the Narwhal

Amigurumi and Toys

Introducing Wanda the Whale and her best friend Ned the Narwhal. Aren’t they whaley cute? The patterns for these adorable friends are available for free on my blog. They are accessible for adventurous beginners or those that have experience doing amigurumi. They are easily customized by adding bows, eyelashes etc. and they would make a cute baby shower gift or child's gift. (If you are giving as a gift to a child, I would recommend embroidering eyes as safety eyes can be dangerous for young children).
