This petite crochet doily depicts the 4th in a very patriotic way! Red, white and blue, stars, scallops and more lend beauty and patriotism to a delicate doily that will look great anywhere in your home! This pattern shows that doily patterns can be colorful and modern.

Crochet Patriotic Heart Ornament
This crochet patriotic heart (or American flag heart) makes a beautiful handmade decoration for the 4th of July, Memorial Day, or Labor Day. You can use this heart as an ornament as I did, or you can use it as an applique for various embellishments. I made my 4th of July hearts with Red Heart yarn. You can experiment with different yarn weights to make your hearts in different sizes. Finished Size: The heart is about 2-3/4” (7 cm)
Patriotic Dish Cloth
Fast. Easy. Cute. Can you even GET a better crochet project than that? Oh.. how about beginner friendly?! This dishcloth might just be the best thing you make this week. Pull out some scrap cotton yarn. Hold 2 strands together and work a simple crochet stitch. Changing out one strand of yarn at a time creates a really pretty gradient effect. This looks great in red, white and blue but would also work for other holidays or just as a fun stash busting project!
Crocheted Patriotic Basket Pattern
Make your 4th July holiday more creative and fruitful by creating this patriotic crochet basket. Use this basket for decor and presenting sweet treats to your friends on this Memorial Day. Working on this patriotic basket is easier than you think by using a double strand of yarn. Use two-color yarn in a weaving pattern. You can create this basket more proficiently by working in stripes.
Stars and Stripes Hand Towel
Since designing the Gingerbread Man Kitchen Towel, I've had many ask me to design other crochet keyhole towels for all other holidays and for year-round use. Add a little Fourth of July, red, white and blue, crochet decor to your space with the Stars and Stripes Hand Towel, my latest crochet keyhole towel design. YARN Cotton is the go-to fiber for crochet dish cloths, dish towels, and hand towels as it's the most absorbent. There are several cotton yarns out there that would be perfect for this project, but I chose to use Lily Sugar n' Cream 100% worsted weight cotton yarn. Lily Sugar n' Cream is available in 39 colors so I was able to find the perfect colors I needed for this project within the same yarn line.
Red, White, and Blue Plarn Crochet Placemats
Placemats like these would make a fabulous addition to your outdoor picnic table, especially when celebrating holidays like Memorial Day and the 4th of July. They are made with plarn, an interesting material to upcycle for use in crocheting placemats. This free pattern also comes with instructions for complementary plarn coasters.
Note that it's not recommended to use these placemats for hot dishes, but they're ideal when serving sandwiches, salad, pickles, or other similar picnic fares. Best of all, plarn is easy to make (for free) using readily available materials. And of course, you could opt to use different plastic bag colors to make similar crochet placemats without the red, white, and blue theme.
