Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth

I whipped up this very quick and easy scrubby dishcloth. If you haven’t worked with Scrubby Yarn before, this would make a great first project. This easy dishcloth is crocheted with a larger sized hook (7 mm) and uses only simple stitches. The Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth is crocheted with 2-strands of Scrubby Yarn held together. I chose to use 2 different colors from my Stash but you could just as easily use 2 strands from one ball of yarn. This scrubby dishcloth took me less than 15 minutes to crochet - so I'm sure you will have it done quickly too!

Double thick and super squishy, its small size makes it particularly good at getting into smaller corners and edges. I personally prefer smaller dishcloths for cleaning, they are just easier for my hands to hold onto! Try this pattern and let me know what you think! Maybe you will decide you prefer small dishcloths too! You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.

Crochet Thick Potholder

The Thermal Stitch is by far the best stitch (that I know of) you can use to crochet a thick potholder. It's quite dense and thick - it's basically double the thickness of a normal single crochet. It's perfect for a potholder or anything that needs that extra thickness. When trying this stitch for the first time, the trickiest part is to find the right stitch that you need to crochet into. The whole pattern consists of Thermal Single Crochets (single crochets that are worked into the back loops of current and previous rows together). That's what creates the thickness.
