Crochet Snowman Granny Squares Blanket
A couple of years ago I made the Snowman Granny Square. And updated the pattern this year (2016) with my newest blanket pattern I made using these squares together. These smiling snowy faces can stay looking at each other in this Christmas all the time! Attaching these Snowman Granny Squares together, you can make any size blanket or afghan. It means this is a free size pattern. And also Snowman Granny Square Blanket can be worked with your favorite yarn weight. I used sport weight and made 20 squares. These all squares I joined with Join As You Go (JAYGo) method.
Patriotic Star Granny Square Free Crochet Pattern
"I used these cute Patriotic Star Granny Squares as dishcloths, so I made them out of 100% cotton, using Lily Sugar n Cream yarn. They could also be used as afghan squares, and could be done in a variety of different colors. Make a bunch and utilize the granny squares as dishcloths, washcloths, oversized coasters (or “mug rugs”), blanket squares, and more. The written pattern is free on the blog, so grab your crochet hook and ENJOY!"
Easy Peasy Flower Squares free pattern
What could be better than the combination of flowers and squares? Nothing, we think, because these Easy Peasy Flower Squares are simply amazing. Join these pretty crochet flower squares together to make a crochet blanket or even a cute crochet shawl. This idea is revolutionary because you don't have to do just a flower motif or just a granny square afghan, you can make them all in one. We love learning and we hope you do too because this tutorial will be your next favorite thing.
Blackwork-Style Squares Free Pattern
The Blackwork-Style Squares crochet pattern by Kathryn A. Clark brings the delicate art of embroidery into crochet. Featuring Hobbii Amigo and Hobbii Winter Glow yarn, it is ideal for intermediate crocheters who like working with intricate detail. This project is also a perfect opportunity for you to explore the interlocking filet crochet technique.
The Blackwork-Style Squares pattern calls for a 3.5 mm hook, allowing for very fine stitching in this interlocking-method project. It features a geometric design reminiscent of traditional blackwork embroidery but is much more three-dimensional due to the cable-like effect.
These squares can be used individually as decorative hot pads or joined together to create a stunning pillow cover or blanket. Whether you decide to make a true statement piece or a king-size afghan, this project combines aesthetic appeal and functionality. For the intermediate crocheter looking for a touch of embroidery flair, the Blackwork-Style Squares pattern makes a perfect choice!

The pattern calls for #3 lightweight DK yarn and a size G6/ 4mm crochet hook. Double crochet and chain stitches are used to create the eyelet pattern shaped after a triangle. The pattern is one part of a larger baby blanket with several different shapes included. The simple and fun crochet pattern is perfect for not just a baby blanket but a dishcloth, coaster and more!"
