Tumbling Blocks Crochet Blanket Free Pattern

This free crochet blanket pattern uses very simple stitches. However, it also uses very strategic color changes. The result is a design that creates the illusion of 3D blocks. It's an impressive design, one that you will be thrilled you can create with your own two hands.

I love this delicate, creme color of this fantastic blanket in the pictures below! It features large, three dimensional blocks, that are consisting of knit and purl stitches. What's more, they are beginner friendly and create a fabulous texture. The finished size is 30 x 35”.

Magical Wave Stitch Crochet Lapghan

Afghans and Blankets

I decided to use this stunning and yummy Red Heart Super Saver “Retro Stripes” to revamp my Optical Illusion Baby Blanket. I LOVE my first version… but not everyone wants to change colors THAT many times!!! The Red Heart Stripes worked up beautifully with this design… and with minimal yarn ends to weave in! The entire process of making this blanket was exciting. The color changes are different and unique with each square, preventing me from getting jaded."
