The small bird (7cm / 3inch) was made with sport weight cotton yarn and a 2.5 mm crochet hook and the big bird (16 cm/ 6 inch) with super bulky chenille yarn and a 5 mm crochet hook. For this pattern you will need blue, black and grey 8 ply wool, which is light worsted in the US and double knit in the UK. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. Scissors and a darning needle to weave in ends. Black sewing thread and a sewing needle to stitch the wheels on the car.
