Shark Mittens

However, mittens for children can be a thing on their own as well. Thus, here are some little chompers for your little shark week fans. Moreover, with a little work, and some green yarn, they can be re-styled into crocodiles.

Children’s Fox Mittens

If you're a parent, then you've probably spent countless hours looking for your child's misplaced mitten. Frustrating, isn't it? While we can't guarantee these Children's Fox Mittens will always be placed neatly in the coat closet, we do think your child will try to hold on this pair. Owl Mittens

More to the point, however, mittens for children are most often stylized to represent something, making them more fun and interesting. Thus, here are some owls.

Easy Warm Winter Mittens

You're going to love these Easy Warm Winter Mittens! They're such a great pair of mittens to keep your hands warm, as well as a fun crochet make. One thing that is important for me when it comes to crocheting mittens is that the stitches are quite tight. I feel like I achieved that with these, which means they'll keep you warm and toasty! The Easy Warm Winter Mittens is a beautiful crochet pattern for a pair of crocheted winter mittens. The stitch combination makes a beautiful result, and they'll keep your really warm and toasty. The pattern comes in 1 size and uses amazing warm wool yarn. Size customization included in the pattern.

Easy-On Mitts

For those of you who are unfamiliar with my Easy-On Mittens, these mittens have a wrist closure option which allows you to open and close the mitten at the wrist. I first designed these mittens for my son because he was so wiggly and I swear he had fingers sticking out all over the place - trying to get mittens on his hands was such a challenge and he always pulled them off as fast as I could get them on. These mittens open at the wrist so you can easily pop the hand into the mitten itself (not getting stuck on the narrower cuff part) and once the hand is inside you can button up the wrist closure and the hand stays inside the mitten ;) You can wear the closure on the underside of your wrist (which is how I did Drew's so he wouldn't try to undo the buttons) or on top - which is how Darla liked to wear hers because she thought they looked ‘pretty’ that way. You can alternately whip stitch the cuff closed for a regular pair of mittens - this is totally up to you! These mittens have been requested for many reasons - one of which is for individuals in Nursing Homes. The wrist closure allows caregivers to slide the mittens onto the resident’s hands more easily (and less painfully) and then the wrist closure can be button to ensure the mitten stays in place once on.

Fireside Mittens Free Crochet Pattern

"The Fireside Mittens is a super easy crochet mittens pattern. You only need to know the single crochet, double crochet, and chain stitch. I've replaced the classic ribbed cuff by an elegant eyelet design to give these easy crochet mittens more personality. The pattern is available in 3 sizes and explains how to adapt to any hand. These mittens are not the usual thick bulky mittens but a thinner, more elegant version you can wear in the city on your way to work or on a date in the park. Don't get me wrong these are nice and warm and will keep your hands toastie. But they're also refined and elegant."
