Easter Chick Granny Square

"While I was on Pinterest, getting ideas for my Bunny Granny Square of this year's Easter, many lovely pictures of chicks popped up in front of me, in the form of amigurumi, coasters and granny squares. So, as soon as I finished designing my previous one, I started planning this new granny square. As a whole, I'm proud of my animal themed granny squares set so far, and I hope the future ones will be as cute and easy to make too. I wish you all a joyful time crocheting this project, and happy Easter again to all of you who celebrate it. Don't forget to stay safe and healthy, and take care of yourselves."

Year Of The Ox Granny Square

Hi everyone! It's an every year contribution I've been doing, to come up with a granny square that has the face of the current year's Chinese zodiac animal. So far I've made the chicken, the dog, the rat, and now the ox. And I've also enjoyed making other animal granny squares, such as the cat and the frog, and have a few in the making (a rabbit and other animals) that I'm going to post in the future. The only hard part for me when designing these granny squares is to show as many face traits as possible, while keeping the square easy to make. I think I've nailed it this time. So enjoy making this cute ox as a granny square unit for a baby blanket perhaps, plus, you can totally change the colors to make it look like a cow. Stay safe and healthy, and happy (belated) Chinese new year!

Year Of The Tiger Granny Square

Hello everyone! Wow, how time flies by! 2022 is here, and January is almost over. So it must be time to add a new granny square to my collection. It's the year of the tiger this time around, and let me tell you, it was a real challenge for me to make this one. I spent so many days researching both real, and crocheted tigers trying to come up with a good design. What I found more intriguing and charming was the white tiger rather than the orange one; they are quite majestic looking, their cubs are super cute, and to be honest with you, their color scheme can be interpreted somehow easier than the more known orange tigers. I hope I've caught your interest with this year's zodiac granny square of mine. Wish you all happy and warm days!

Striped Hourglass Square

"The Striped Hourglass Square is a great addition to the Moogly Crochet Along - or any squares-based project! Play with color and texture in this free crochet pattern on Moogly! I designed this square using Red Heart With Love, because it's the official yarn of the MooglyCAL2021. And the reason it's the official yarn is that it comes in tons of colors. But even more importantly, it's super easy to care for and family (and pet) friendly - and therefore great for gifting too! I recently designed the Striped Hourglass Area Rug, and had a lot of fun playing with the color changes to get a bold rainbow look. For the Striped Hourglass Square, I've re-worked this stitch pattern yet again - and I have even more ideas to come!"

Bunny Granny Square

"Hi everyone! I think it's obvious by now how much I love crocheting animal-themed granny squares, as It has become something of a tradition for me to make one inspired by the Chinese zodiac every year. I have also made other animals before, and will keep on designing as many of these as I can. I will try to keep them as simple and minimal as possible, and I will maintain the same measurements, so that -if wanted- they can be used together in one bigger project, like a blanket, for example."
