This Zig Zag Classic Ripple Afghan calls for two sizes of crochet hooks and uses medium worsted weight yarn. Mix and match the yarn colors to complement your home decor. It's incredible how much a simple afghan can transform the look of any room, especially when it has such a trendy chevron look. From the blogger:"Sofa Sweet Sofa is a cozy crochet sofa throw that is quick to make and oh-so luxurious to use. This blanket is great to nap under, and it can also be shared. The yarn is soft and fluffy, thus making the throw warm and comfy. The giant shells give it a fun look and also make it quick to crochet. In addition, it's perfect for cuddling under with Amir the Elephant, whom I shared with you a few weeks ago!"

Gentle River Ripple Blanket
This gentle river ripple blanket uses bold colors to show off the popular chevron pattern. It has a timeless appeal to home decor. This is my second chevron blanket that I have ever made. The soft peaks and valleys in this chevron throw remind me of gentle ripples on the water in the moonlight. I was going for a gentle wavy effect and after playing around with the stitches for a bit, the look just came together. Generally, the chevron or zig zag look is achieved by increasing and decreasing stitches at regular intervals throughout a row of stitches. This color pattern is repeated 6 times. To make this blanket symmetrical, I added four more rows of the Cape Cod Blue yarn to the end. Blanket is a total of 64 rows.
