The Dragon Scale Clutch uses crocodile stitches and a Romanian Cord to make a classy little accessory for a night on the town. It showcases self-striping yarn, like Super Saver Stripes or Super Saver Ombres in a lovely way. This can also be used as a pencil pouch. A video tutorial is available for the Romanian Cord (link in the pattern) and a photo tutorial is available for the crocodile stitch (also linked in the pattern).

How To Crochet A Romanian Cord
The Romanian cord is a flat cord with a striking texture that is the same on both sides. It's a perfect option for things like drawstrings, ties, straps, and bag handles! The easy technique starts with 2 set-up stitches, and then is just one simple stitch repeated for the desired length of your cord.

Crochet Pouch/Clutch
Today I made a thing that is extremely unique and needed in our everyday lives. It is called Pouch/Clutch. Actually, I was in need of a pouch on the grounds that sometimes I have trouble locating little things, like keys and so forth, in my hand bag. So, I chose to purchase a small pouch from a market. After that, I considered my knit aptitude and decided that, with a little practice, why not make a little pocket and space my cash? It is the brilliant advantage of the ability to have spare time to make your own outline as you need in your favorite shading. To make my pouch, I use a special stitch and that is called a cable stitch. I have never used it in my crochet work. It's not difficult. It is easy to make and you will make more beautiful designs as you want in any color with this cable stitch.
Rainbow Purse and Pouch Free Crochet Pattern
"Make either a mini kiss clasp coin purse, or a drawstring pouch, with this free Rainbow Purse and Pouch crochet pattern! The finished coin purse or pouch measures approximately 2.5” high by 3” wide, with an opening of 2” in diameter. I have used Drops Paris and Rico Essential Cotton Aran/Worsted weight yarn, with a 4.5mm hook. You can use any Aran/Worsted weight yarn, but I would recommend using cotton for sturdiness and durability. Exact gauge isn’t too important. Just keep your stitches compact to avoid large gaps in your finished purse."
