The bright and cheerful colors of the Easter Egg Granny Washcloth are a fun way to perk up the kitchen or paired with a homemade bath fizz to add a special touch to an Easter basket. Easter crochet patterns are often all about the pastel colors, but the bold and happy colors of the Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie yarn are a joyful upgrade to the traditional colors. These quick and easy granny stitch cloths can be used as either dishcloths or washcloths. These Easter washcloths will put a smile on your face every time you see them.

Smoothie Cloth Set
I love being able to make things for specific needs. Recently I decided a hanging towel would work perfectly in our trailer bathroom. The only problem is there is a hook and not a bar to wrap a tabbed cloth around. I finished the top off with a D ring instead and it is just right. Of course I needed some cloths to match. Simple Shells Washcloth: Quick and Easy Textured Stitch Pattern
The Simple Shells Washcloth is made with alternating rows of solid stitches and groups of shells, creating a pretty surface for scrubbing anything you need in the bath and kitchen! This washcloth is worked in rows using chains and double crochet stitches. You can easily customize the stitch repeat in multiples of 5+2 (+2 for the turning chain), then work any odd multiple of rows. While you don't see the term shell in the specialty stitch and technique section of this pattern, the group of five double crochet stitches worked into one place is a shell. Either way of writing the instruction is correct, and we hope beginners enjoy the simplicity in this version (the stitch chart should help, too). THIS IS A GREAT PATTERN BECAUSE: Washcloths are fun projects to learn new crochet stitches (especially when you follow our crochet chart with the written instructions)! You can use these in the bath or kitchen (plus, they make great gifts)! This project works great with cotton yarns (just one skein or less)! You'll get to practice a lot of crochet skills: rows, stitch tension, stitch counting and recognition, shells (5 double crochet stitches into 1 space) , borders, gauge and size, finishing techniques and more!

Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth
I whipped up this very quick and easy scrubby dishcloth. If you haven’t worked with Scrubby Yarn before, this would make a great first project. This easy dishcloth is crocheted with a larger sized hook (7 mm) and uses only simple stitches. The Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth is crocheted with 2-strands of Scrubby Yarn held together. I chose to use 2 different colors from my Stash but you could just as easily use 2 strands from one ball of yarn. This scrubby dishcloth took me less than 15 minutes to crochet - so I'm sure you will have it done quickly too!
Double thick and super squishy, its small size makes it particularly good at getting into smaller corners and edges. I personally prefer smaller dishcloths for cleaning, they are just easier for my hands to hold onto! Try this pattern and let me know what you think! Maybe you will decide you prefer small dishcloths too! You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.
Quilter's Dish Scrubby
Based on a quilter’s block pattern, create a colorful dish scrubby that combines cotton and textured yarn for a multi purpose cleaning. Each dish scrubby consists of 4 motifs that are joined together to create a quilt-like block pattern. The four motifs are fun to rearrange to create a multiple of block patterns. Step by step YouTube video available. Dish cloth is 5 3/4” x 5 3/4” and calls for one skein of Red Heart Scrubby and Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie yarn.
