Shawls and Wraps
I love working with fingering weight yarn and the Scheepjes Whirl series has such a great selection of colors to choose from! For this pattern, I picked the Passion Fruit Melt Whirl and combined it with the Rose Whirlette. The colorwork in this pattern is achieved by switching yarn after every few rows.
I have always admired projects made with the Moss Stitch and I wanted to use it to design a shawl pattern. This shawl is entirely made up of the Moss Stitch - so, all you need to know is how to make chains and single crochet stitches!
This was my happy, mindless project that I could make without paying much attention to it. Once you figure out the pattern repeats, it is very easy to make!
Disha means ‘direction’ in Hindi.

Kalinda is a modern triangular shaped shawl worked in fingering yarn with some wave rows. This pattern is perfect for a beginner or more experienced crocheter who want something elegant with a lot of character. For this design I worked with Scheepjes Whirl and Whirlette cake yarns. Benita One-skein Shawl

This one-skein crochet shawl pattern uses self-striping yarn to make colorwork easy. This rectangular shawl can also be worn as a scarf in transitional weather. Since it's a one-skein crochet shawl pattern, you won't have many ends to weave in which means you can wear this project as soon as it's finished. This is an intermediate level pattern, but there are only two rows to repeat. Once you get the stitch pattern down, you will find it a relatively mindless and straightforward crochet project. King Cole Tropical Beaches DK yarn (70% acrylic/30% polyamide (nylon), 7 oz/200 g, 557 yd/510 m) - 1 skein in 4850 Patara Beach, or approximately 530 yd (484.5 m) in any light weight, self-striping yarn.
US Size G-6/4 mm crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Bent-tip yarn needle.

Skill Level - Beginner - working with two colors is the only tricky bit. The Turquoise Fiesta Shawl is made up of only one stitch (Tunisian Full Stitch) and the forward and reverse passes are made with different colors.
