Ever since designing my first character towel, I’ve received requests for all sorts of characters for the different holidays. The Buffalo Plaid Moose Kitchen Towel is my latest design. You can find all character towels I’ve designed to date on my blog. The Buffalo Plaid Moose Kitchen Towel is the 7th character towel I've designed and I have plans for 3 more before Christmas this year. I’ve also designed several other crochet kitchen towels that are not characters, you can find them all on my blog.
Ever since designing my very first character Christmas towel in 2019, (the Snowman Kitchen Towel), I’ve wanted to design other character towels to celebrate all of the holidays. The Easter Bunny Crochet Hand Towel & Washcloth Set was designed to add a little fun, crochet decor to your home for the Easter Season. YARN Cotton is the go-to fiber for crochet dish cloths, dish towels, and hand towels as it’s the most absorbent. There are several cotton yarns out there that would be perfect for this project, but I chose to use Lily Sugar n’ Cream 100% worsted weight cotton yarn. Lily Sugar n’ Cream is available in 39 colors so I was able to find all of the colors I needed for this project within the same yarn line.
What do you get when you mash my favorite wine cozy with buffalo plaid? Why the Crochet Buffalo Plaid Wine Cozy, of course! It might be true. I might just have a love affair with the crochet wine cozy. But really. What’s NOT to love. Hold 2 strands of worsted weight yarn together. Kick back for a quick evening project while you watch your favorite TV show or movie. The perfect crochet project in my eyes. The wine cozy also makes a pretty nice gift. And this guy is a classy number, don’t you think?
Ever since designing the Gingerbread Man Towel, I’ve had many ask if I could design towels that hang the same way for year-round use. The Floral Blooms Hand Towel is the first in a fun, new series of crochet towels. The Floral Blooms Hand Towel makes the perfect gift for Mother's Day and other gift giving holidays! First, you’ll begin by crocheting a base for the flower. Next, you’ll create the petals on the flower. Lastly, you’ll crochet the body of the towel.
I’ve been meaning to make a couple new crochet kitchen towels, but I wanted something a little less traditional in style. Having to constantly pick up the towels off the floor and wash them because they’ve slipped off the oven handle yet again, gets old in a quick hurry. After designing the Buffalo Plaid Kitchen Towel, I realized how much I loved the style and immediately started on the Farmhouse Striped Kitchen Towel. I hope you find that these towels will also make great gifts!
Ever since designing the Gingerbread Man Kitchen Towel, I’ve had many ask if I could design towels that hang in a similar way for year-round use. The Floral Blooms Hand Towel was the first in a fun, new series of crochet towels followed by the Farmhouse Striped Keyhole Hand Towel. Because crocheters loved the Farmhouse Striped Keyhole Hand Towel, I decided to come up with an even more basic crochet towel design that is suitable for beginner crocheters. This beginner friendly crochet pattern uses basic crochet stitches and techniques.
