I made this Ballerina Bag for my 3 year old granddaughter because she loves to twirl and says she is a ballerina. She also loves to play dress up and so this little bag is the perfect size to hold a few of her treasures. I used an old, scratched CD to create a sturdy base for the bag.

These Diamond Tote bags are so much fun to work up! The smaller size is perfect for a lunch bag size for work or to hold smaller items, while the larger size makes a nice and roomy size for day trips, shopping, beaches, and anything! This bag is made from the bottom up, starting with a rectangular base. Then the body is made using Tapestry Crochet technique. Finally, you'll add the handles in the last few rounds at the top of the bag. This free pattern includes 3 video tutorials to help you along the way with the base, tapestry crochet, and the handles. Crochet Beach Bag With Giant Shell Stitch
I love this beautiful bag not only for its cute patterns but, more importantly, its size and dimensions. This free crochet tote bag pattern makes a sturdy oversized bag that has a round base of about 15.5 in diameter and a body (including the shoulder straps) of roughly 25 tall. It is the perfect size for all your beach trip essentials and more.
Though it is presented as a beach bag, it is actually great to use as a market bag for your weekly trip to the farmers market. It will definitely hold all the fresh produce in place, preventing bruises on fruits and veggies. Be it functional for everyday use and/or aesthetically pleasing, it sure is a perfect modern crochet bag pattern to crochet.

Movie Night Crochet Popcorn Bag
Movie night at our house means popcorn! My 3-year-old son loves popcorn but when I give him a bowl most of it usually ends up on the floor. He likes to play/watch a movie so he is moving around a lot and trying to bring his popcorn along with him'so cute but messy! I thought he would like his own popcorn bag so with my yarn in one hand and my hook in the other I went to work! He was very excited when I gave it to him and immediately wanted to make some popcorn. I filled up his bag and he loved wearing it around/eating it out of it and what's better it stayed in the bag! I added a drawstring at the top so the popcorn wouldn't fall out as easily. He really enjoyed his own special popcorn bag! The bag measures 8' tall, 4' wide with a 4' depth and 14' for the strap drop. This pattern uses 100% cotton yarn and size G crochet hook.
