Vernon Planter Cover

Next, this basket cover is a denser, stiffer one. Therefore, in addition to hiding unsightly flower pots, this can be used as a standalone basket. Even better, the stripes mean that you can use yarn odds and ends, without having to break out new skeins. So, you can now make room for even more yarns from your local gettin' spot.

Beaver Potholder

As long as they're not building a dam on someone's property, beavers are beloved animals and even the mascot of several schools. If you're a beaver lover, crochet a few of these potholders for your kitchen. You can also use them as hot pads to protect surfaces from hot pans. This easy crochet pattern is quick to make with a double strand of cotton worsted yarn. You may even have the right colors in your stash already. Use a single strand of yarn to make a smaller beaver as a coaster. Potholder measures approximately 8” wide x 6” tall (including ears). Gauge = 7 sc = 2”, 8 rows = 2" Materials: Cotton worsted weight yarn: 85 yards brown 12 yards tan 20 yards white 5 yards black Size J (6.0 mm) crochet hook Yarn needle

Colorwheel Coffee Cozy

This Colorwheel Coffee Cozy is so much fun to work on! I feel so honored to be chosen by Michael's to tell you about their new yarn line! Because they are such a great company I didn't have to think twice about saying YES! And I was even more thrilled when the yarn came for me to play with. They also know I have both knit and crochet fans so I get to show you projects in both crafts and everyone wins!

Square Boho Bobble Coasters

Crochet your own textured coasters with bohemian flair and a bobble square that will hug your coffee mug. The free square Boho Bobble Coaster pattern utilizes bobble stitches and fringe for a fun, cotton coaster. To crochet these coasters, you'll need about 35 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn (I used Lily Sugar n Cream yarn in "Light Blue"), a 4.5 mm crochet hook, a tapestry needle, and a small comb for brushing out the fringe.

Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth

I whipped up this very quick and easy scrubby dishcloth. If you haven't worked with Scrubby Yarn before, this would make a great first project. This easy dishcloth is crocheted with a larger sized hook (7 mm) and uses only simple stitches. The Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth is crocheted with 2-strands of Scrubby Yarn held together. I chose to use 2 different colors from my Stash but you could just as easily use 2 strands from one ball of yarn. This scrubby dishcloth took me less than 15 minutes to crochet - so I'm sure you will have it done quickly too!

Double thick and super squishy, its small size makes it particularly good at getting into smaller corners and edges. I personally prefer smaller dishcloths for cleaning, they are just easier for my hands to hold onto! Try this pattern and let me know what you think! Maybe you will decide you prefer small dishcloths too! You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.
