It's a wonderful way to use up scrap yarn you have laying around (I recommend using at least 5 different colors if you want them to alternate nicely), and can be worked in pieces at your leisure. This free crochet pattern is for a C2C Butterfly Blanket. This pattern is made using mini C2C which are half double crochet stitches as well as Brava yarn from WeCrochet. The pattern includes a full video tutorial for the mini C2C technique. If you've never done C2C before, don't let it intimidate you! It's fairly simple to get the hang of it once you get a good rhythm going. C2C is a wonderful technique to learn!
