Mae's Chevron Blanket

As one of my first jobs I worked in the activities department of a beautiful nursing facility. I was a young, thought-she-knew-it-all, 20 year old and Mae was a (then) 95 year old darling who always had her hair fixed just right, her favorite pearls around her neck, and you never saw her without her perfectly applied bright cherry lipstick. Oh, the stories Mae could tell! Mae was such a beautiful soul and I will always cherish our chats during activity time. This beautiful Chevron Blanket (available in 3 sizes) is for you, my dear friend."

Mountain Hideaway Throw

Crochet this loop stitch chevron throw which is just the right size for keeping warm while curled up on the sofa. Perfect for intermediate crocheters or confident beginners looking for an interesting, textured crochet blanket project. This pattern uses a worsted weight yarn held double to make a warm, snuggly throw. The use of one colour throughout the project makes for a modern look while the stripes of crochet loop stitches add a hint of retro vintage. The yarn chosen is a wool / acrylic mix and is inexpensive but beautifully soft and cosy."

Simply cast on, get into the groove of the pattern and cast off when you feel your blanket is long enough. For this rainbow blanket, simply use up scraps or buy some amazing colours especially for your project. I've depicted this crochet blanket as a rainbow blanket, but really.. you can make this blanket in any colour scheme you like. Have fun!"

Everyone from baby to the whole family at the park will be able to enjoy this one. Includes a free video tutorial as well, so it couldn't be more beginner friendly and accessible to everyone. Double Waffle Crochet Baby Blanket

I would like to share with you my latest creation - this little Double Waffle Crochet Baby Blanket. It turned out so soft and squishy with a beautiful spongy texture. I used the Double Waffle Crochet stitch and I love the texture it has created. I didn't make any border around the blanket as I like it as it is. But I can imagine a simple border in white or even the same colour would look pretty cute too.. Materials used: light worsted weight yarn and 4.5mm crochet hook.
