Rosary Hill Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

"This blanket is made of 3 different 12" afghan squares combined to make a background diagonal trellis effect with medallions of popcorn and puff stitches in radiating circles and cross like patterns. It is simply bordered to let the beauty of the squares shine through and looks great in multiple colors or solids. The pattern is designed in worsted weight yarn but would look very elegant in crochet thread as well."

Pretty Posies Square

"The Pretty Posies Afghan Square was designed to work well with my Sweet and Simple Afghan Square Pattern. Both patterns are crocheted with Scheepjes Stone Washed Yarn from the mini skein Colour Pack. When you make these with the Sport Weight Yarn 2 and a 4 mm (G) hook they measure approximately 4 inches square. When you use Medium Weight Yarn and the hook indicated on the yarn label, you can expect a square approximately 6 inches X 6 inches in size. This design begins with the leaves and the flower portion of the project. You can stop after the flower section and you will have a pretty flower embellishment you can use on other projects. I have included step-by-step photo tutorials for all parts of this square. They are available in my blog post with the free copy of the pattern."

It is amazing how versatile this blanket can be when using different background colors and different placements of the animal blocks! Each animal block is available as written instructions and chart! You can also make smaller blanket sizes when using less animal squares. Just pick the C2C animal squares of your choice, mix and match, then stitch them together with an invisible seam! A ribbed border around the blanket will complete the look. You can also use each of these animal squares to make pillowcases. "
