Crochet Easter Chicks

These chickens are so easy and quick to make and kids are gonna love them! A perfect addition to those Easter baskets. The chicks also have a removable eggshell. The written pattern is free, and so is the video tutorial. I am using cotton yarn in a worsted weight and safety eyes. The chicks would look cute with a thinner yarn too. Sean the Snail

Next, here is another snail ornament, a little more cartoon-like this time. Sean is a super easy pattern that you work up in two easy shapes and then accessorize with eyes and antennae. Overall, this can be a great showcase for your color-matching skills.

The Cuddliest Crochet Bear

This little brown bear is the absolute cuddliest! He is plushy and soft with the cutest bowtie. He takes about 8 hours to work up due to his size - he is a full size teddy! Be sure you have poly-fil stuffing on hand for this one! I hope you all enjoy this little bear!

Snail Ornament

To begin with, here is a great pattern for a 3 color combo. Of course, you can also make it in more hues, eg. such as a rainbow. Either way, this will be a wonderful addition to your snail-themed tree, or a stocking stuffer for the little ones.

Scrappy The Sloth

Scrappy the Sloth is a fluffy amigurumi with the most colorful fur you've ever seen (or snuggled!). And to add to this cool crochet pattern, it is done completely using scrap yarn! Yep, Scrappy is a stash busting amigurumi. Scrappy the Sloth is made up almost entirely of scrap yarn. His claws and face are the only parts that call for a specific color. He is done with the loop stitch, then the loops can be cut and brushed (optional) for his super fluffiness.

Crochet Totoros

So… What is Totoro? Basically, it's a Japanese nature spirit. The character itself is the animator Miyazaki's creation, but it is rooted in Japanese culture as a troll and the combination of a few animals. In the movie, My Neighbor Totoro, there are 3 Totoro that Mei meets and explores the forest with, so we're going to make all three today. In this post, I show you how to crochet all three totoros spirits from the movie.

Bella The Butterfly Rattle

Bella the crochet butterfly rattle is a perfect little make for Spring in this free pattern! This crochet butterfly rattle can be used as an amigurumi butterfly toy or you can add a rattle insert into the head and it makes for a really cute crochet rattle for a quick and easy crochet baby gift. This pattern works up fast and is a good beginner amigurumi pattern. The pattern was made using DK yarn and a 2.75mm hook but any yarn with the relevant hook will work.

Heirloom Coverlet for Baby

However, if what you're after is a traditional design, full of lace, cables, puffs and shells, then this heirloom baby blanket is just the thing for you. To summarize, it uses many stitches, and is probably addressed to more advanced crocheters. Although, if you want to challenge yourself or simplify with repeated stitches there is room for that as well.
