You can use the pattern given for your square, or any square of your choosing that measures 4″ (or very close to it). Gauge given is for a size small/medium using a G (4mm) hook. Use self striping yarn for a fun look without having to change colors. Change colors each round, or keep it all one color, it will still look fabulous.

Fidget/Sensory Blanket for Alzheimer's

This blanket was designed for a cause- to spread hope, comfort and stability to all those struggling with alzheimers and other diseases that could leave them struggling with memory and cognitive abilities. It is also a blanket that toddlers and children with special needs can use to develop motor skills. Granted, there are fidget blankets you can buy. But I like to believe that if we are blessed with the ability and have the skill to create something, we should never hesitate to use it for a good cause. Make as many of this blanket as you can, and donate them!

From the Designer: I don't know about you but I may be, what you'd call, garment avoidant. Don't get me wrong, I love garments... I love sweaters, wraps, cardigans, kimonos. all of them. And I especially like ponchos. However, I almost never make them because they take FOREVER to finish... and being a plus sized girl, I can never be sure they're going to fit right. That's why I designed this fastest and easiest crochet poncho pattern ever.

This pattern works up in a matter of hours and can be easily adjusted for petite or plus sized needs. And, while I don't usually recommend that crochet sellers make garments (because they're just not cost effective), this design just might be the perfect addition to your craft fair inventory.

Super bulky, soft, and super-duper cozy, this poncho is the perfect pattern to whip up as a quick gift or something special just for you to wear everywhere.. introducing, the Everywhere Poncho.
