Joyful Josie Shawl

The Joyful Josie Shawl is inspired by my dear friend Josie (10) who has the same condition as me. Josie is a competition swimmer; just like I was at her age. Therefore I chose a yarn cake that has blue tones - the color of water. I used a simple stitch which is a combination of single crochet and double crochet stitches on top of each other, which gives a beautiful texture. For the shape I chose a round crochet shawl design based on the waves in the water. Thanks to the round shape the shawl can be worn in different ways: like a normal scarf/ shawl or as a wrap around the shoulders.

Crochet Tablecloth Round Doily

Aren't doily patterns complex to make? Well, most of the time, yes! Guess what?! This is an easy crochet tablecloth doily pattern that is very nice looking, cute and easy to do. The rounds are very typical with a steady increase in the number of stitches. But what makes this tablecloth so special, is the flower framing. In my set, I used blue yarn to make the flowers, but I also tried making multiple colors and it looked even better. If you're interested to try a rectangular or a square shape versions of this doily, please comment to let me know.

Seljuklu Ruby Doily

When I first started crocheting, I used to look at the works of other fiber artists and admire them so much, I would imagine myself creating things like them. This doily is the first that I designed and crocheted. I was inspired by the simplicity and geometrical shapes of Anatolian motifs. It has a pretty easy pattern to work with. Hope you enjoy it and please be sure to let me know if you have questions or problems. Happy crocheting!
