Tasseled Towel Topper

A crochet towel topper with a hidden ring and fun boho style tassels! This towel topper works up quickly and easily with scrap amounts of yarn. A great project for gifts or to brighten up your own kitchen. Approximate finished size: 8 from bottom edge x 4.5 wide (not including towel) The towel topper is crocheted in two pieces - the hanging tab is crocheted directly onto the plastic 3 ring and then a skirt is crocheted separately and sewn to the hanging tab. Mystic Mermaid Tail

This is a redesign of the very popular Mystic Mermaid Cocoon by B.hooked Crochet published in 2015. Now you can crochet the most popular crochet mermaid tail pattern in baby, toddler, child, teen and adult sizes! Bernat POP! yarn really brings out a sense of uniqueness to every mermaid tail. Use Blue Blaze to get a classic mermaid tail or try gold rush river for a bright and bold look! You may also substitute any "cake" style yarn for this pattern.

Tunisian Crochet Crescent Bag

The Tunisian Crochet Crescent Bag is a unique crochet pattern to work up because it doesn't use a traditional crochet hook. Instead, a Tunisian Afghan Hook is needed to work up this particular crocheted bag, in addition to a regular 6.5 mm crochet hook. This bag is made in three different Tunisian crochet stitches, in the short row technique, for its unique look. After crocheting, the bag is felted, giving it extra strength. Tunisian crochet is a great medium for felting and produces beautiful results. The crocheted tote measures about 17 inches across and 16 inches tall (not including handle).

Mosaic Mug Rug

My Mosaic Crochet Mug Rug is a fun and quick project using just chains, single crochet and double crochet and only one color per row! With the holidays around the corner, these make pretty hostess gifts too, just whip up a set in many colors or stick to a two color scheme and put a pretty bow around them. Now if you've never attempted color-work in your crochet, don't worry! This method requires you to work with one color at a time - no changing colors mid-row; and the chart is easy to read and follow!

Ombre Shawl

Varying widths of off white, grey and black come together to work up this Ombre Shawl, producing a gorgeous blend of color. As the designer says, "this is definitely not your granny's shawl! The gorgeous stitch texture and modern striping help this shawl pair just as easily with your favorite pair of jeans as it does over a little black dress, and it can be easily customized to any size you like." This shawl is perfect for summer nights, when the temperatures drop without the sun, and can easily be worn into the fall as a light layering piece. If neutral shades aren't your style, work this crochet shawl up with shades of your favorite color, or mix and match hues to create a shawl that's uniquely you.

Cactus Tote

Problem: You have one skein of Flikka or Comfy Cotton Blend in your stash and don't know what to do with it. Solution: I made you a tote pattern! And it's free! You'll also need a little Worsted and a little Super Bulky. I used the Flikka color Dill Pickle because I couldn't resist the adorable name. Once I got the yarn home it reminded me so much of a cactus that I hopped on the cactus trend bandwagon and whipped up my version of a cactus tote complete with a big blooming flower! This tote has lots of pretty details both small (a subtle fan stitch and surface crocheted strap) and big (aforementioned flower). And it doubles as a purse! The tote takes about 4-6 hours. I hope you enjoy the pattern!!

Granny's Scrappy Placemat

My Granny's series features one round granny squares. This makes it really great for using up those tiny bits of yarn in your stash. If you don't need a placemat, use it as a larger doily. You'll need 282 yards of worsted weight yarn. As a placemat, I recommend cotton since it's more durable, but as a doily, acrylic works too. I used Lily Sugar n Cream for my placemat. Alternatively, I recommend WeCrochet Dishie (cotton) or Red Heart Super Saver (acrylic). I have included instructions to make a variety of sizes depending on your preference. This placemat took me about 8.25 hours to complete.
