Sunset Static Shawl

"The Sunset Static Shawl is a gorgeous bias crochet shawl that has a simple silhouette created with the crochet seed stitch as the background (creating the static portion), the V puff stitch, and crossed double crochets. For this shawl I used Lion Brand Mandala Tweed in colorway Lucky Penny because of it's beautiful and vibrant colorway. Mandala Tweed is a medium weight 4 yarn that features 2 strands of different colored variegated yarns twisted around each other, which is what gives it it's tweed look. It took about 693 yards (1.5 cakes) to create the shawl."

Borlotto Shawl

"This is an adult sized crochet shawl. It's worked in one piece in the triangle shape and uses repeating pattern rows to give a great texture a simple way. This is a great project for a newish crocheter looking to expand their knowledge slightly. It uses only 3 stitches to achieve a great look. This is designed to use 2 balls of yarn, but the same effect of stripes could be made using cake yarn too. With the 2 balls of yarn listed this shawl measures 42 cm x 111 cm, but could easily be made bigger or smaller. This is an easy to intermediate crochet pattern, the techniques you will need to know are (US terms) Double crochet, skipping stitches, chain stitches, and the mini bean stitch (Fully explained)."

Quinley Sideways Shawl

Today's free crochet pattern is the Quinley Sideways Shawl, when i come across this stitch pattern i instantly fell in love with it as you know me i am sucker for easy to crochet shawls using simple stitches to give a minimalist look and this one hit the spot! The Quinley Sideways Shawl only uses two types of stitches which is the chain stitch and the dc stitch, which is great if you are looking for a mindless pattern to crochet and this one works up super quick with no fuss and creates beautiful shells and V stitches. This shawl is also worked sideways with no long starting chain and is crocheted in rows by turning your work over at the end of each row.

Eleanor Asymmetrical Shawl

Today's free crochet pattern is the Eleanor Asymmetrical Shawl, this crochet pattern is a very open lace design, it is basically made up of mesh which mainly involves using chain and sc stitches. Once you get to the repeat of this pattern it is very easy to get in to! Last week i released the Eleanor Triangle Shawl which you can find here! This is basically the sister shawl of that one just in a different shape, both are very open and lacy and perfect for the summer with their open mesh design, both very versatile as you can wear them draped over the shoulders or wear them like you would a scarf.

Wildflowers Wrap

"A beautiful and elegant rectangle shawl. This is a 1 row repeat shawl. The edges add a nice lace detail that use the Y-Stitch. The pattern uses Lion Brand Summer Nights held double stranded. A sport weight or a DK weight yarn can also be used to make this shawl but held single stranded. There are notes within the pattern that easily explain how to adjust the width and the length. A great shawl to dress up or wear casual."

Woodland Faeries Triangle Shawl

"If you are looking for a crochet pattern that uses one skein of yarn, this woodland faeries triangle shawl will not disappoint. Lovely lacy flowing scarf. As I was admiring the lovely colors showing up as I worked through the skein of yarn, I kept thinking about woods and faeries. It just kept bringing beautiful images to mind. This crochet pattern is so easy, it really can be your first triangle shawl pattern. The best part of this wrap is that it is a one row repeat. You can keep repeating until you reach the desired size or until you run out of yarn."
