Easy Beginners Crochet Baby Blanket

A pattern for an easy crochet baby blanket, that is perfect for beginners - I even have really slow video tutorial to show you how to make it! If you are new to crochet, but want to make a lovely gift, or a blanket just for you - this is a great place to start with crochet. It's made using the Corner to Corner technique, and uses the way these blankets are made to give a great diagnol effect - which looks really complicated - but it isn't! It only uses chain stitches, double crochets (USA) and slip stitches.

Stripey Days Baby Blanket

I made this crochet baby blanket pattern in about a day and a half, just working on it in the evenings as I watched TV. I absolutely love how cozy and plush this baby blanket is and that it only took me a little while to make. Because this blanket was made with the scraps that I had, it was also an awesome stash buster and helped clear out a lot of space to use this thick yarn. If you make yours using up your stash, it may look a little different just depending on what you have, but you can also use this pattern for a number of other yarns and colors! It's a really versatile blanket and it's all HDC, perfect for an easy "break" project!
