Bean Stitch Cowl Crochet Pattern

Fall in love with cowls all over again. This Bean Stitch Cowl Crochet Pattern is a project to obsess over. The gorgeous bean stitch is a cousin of the puff stitch, and the tendency of this stitch to lean creates pretty diagonal rows. If you're in the mood to try a new stitch, the bean stitch is too pretty to pass up.

Hooded Fox Cowl, Woodland Animal Hood and Scarf

The Hooded Fox Cowl is a cute and fun animal ear hoodie that also acts as a scarf to keep your neck warm. The hood can also be customized with different colors, such as grey, if you'd like to make a wolf instead. The pattern is suitable for beginners familiar with basic crochet stitches and has lots of step by step photos. Using super bulky yarn, it works up very quickly! This clothing accessory also makes a perfect gift, or crochet idea for yourself this fall or winter season.

Squamish Cowl

This squishy cowl is made with Lion Brand Yarn's Vanna's Choice Yarn (so cozy!) in Silver Grey, Chocolate, and Dusty Blue. I chose to use three colors, but you can choose any color combination with the simple assembly of the squares. I used three skeins for the colors, but it only takes a couple hundred yards of yarn. It fits comfortably loose and is nice and long to cover your face on those extra chilly days. The fringe continues the color pattern and adds more detail the the bottom edge. This pattern uses three skeins of Vanna's Choice Lion Brand Yarn in Silver Grey, Chocolate, and Dusty Blue.

Cluster Stitch Cowl Crochet Pattern

I love keeping cozy on a frosty winter day. That's why there's nothing better than a good winter cowl. This particular crochet cowl pattern is fun and super warm. It's stitched up using the beautiful cluster stitch. The cluster stitch adds a lot of texture and mixed with the acrylic wool blend of a plymouth hot cake, the stitches really pop. The yarn is soft and easy to care for, being that it's machine washable. It can be tossed in the dryer too if you're in a rush! Every hot cake comes with a built in color shift. This particular cowl is to be worked in the denim mix which has various shades of blues with cream.

Airy V Stitch Cowl

This light and Airy V Stitch Cowl makes a wonderfully comfortable cowl for those early fall or late spring days where the weather is just changing.

The open V Stitch lace mesh creates a light fabric that can be cool worn wrapped once around the neck, or cozy if you double wrap. I've used just one Caron Cotton Cake for this pattern, but if you prefer to substitute a different weight of yarn, you'll need just around 200 yards.

Azure Skies Crochet Cowl Pattern

The Azure Skies Crochet Cowl Pattern is the second in the series I have designed for those in-between days when you don't want the bulk or weight of a longer cowl, but still need a layer of warmth around your neck, or to fold into a lightweight jacket or cardigan, with a pop of colour. Azure Skies has the same lovely broomstick lace crochet stitch as my Dolly Mixture Sweetie Crochet Cowl Pattern, adding to the texture, achieved by using a 15mm needle and a 5.5mm crochet hook. It was a bit of a happy accident that the colour changes lend themselves so well to the number of stitches used for each row.

Mountain Cowl Neck Scarf

The Mountain Cowl Neck Scarf is as versatile as it is stunning. You can work this easy crochet pattern up as a crochet infinity scarf or two differently sized cowls, one of which even has a hood! The zig zag crochet pattern and the variegated fringe give so much life to this cowl neck scarf. Even better, the worsted weight yarn promises to be warm and protective against even the chilliest of winds, while the vibrant rainbow yarn makes the colors feel as fresh as summer. This crochet scarf pattern will be an accessory to remember this season.
