Make this crochet moss stitch scarf using this step by step tutorial and Red Heart roll with it variegated TWEED yarn. The scarf works up quickly, and the moss stitch leaves the ends perfectly straight without blocking. This pattern is for a child's scarf (1 skein), but it can easily be adapted for an adult by increasing the width of the scarf in increments of two stitches, then increasing the length as desired (2 skeins)."
Crochet your own his and hers scarf set with our easy pattern which is suitable for confident beginners and up. Each stitch used has a right and a left handed video tutorial to go with them as well as written instructions. My scarf measure 60’’ long and 7.5’’ (female) or 9’’ (male) but you can very easily amend these sizes to suit your requirements or preferences! All of our patterns are tested by experienced crocheters. To make the Casey Set you will need any #4 weight yarn and a 6mm hook for this one. Stripe it, use a cake or make it in a solid colour! I used less than 500 yards per scarf."
This pretty scarf can be worn in so many ways for your fashion needs. I made mine extra long, but you can make it as long/short as you like using the stitch multiple. The lace is a simple repeat and easily adjustable for the width too. I added fringe to mine, but of course you could leave it plain or add some other decorative touch! Designed in #4 Weight Yarn Size: 12” x 80”, but easily adjusted with stitch multiple
What to do with the leftovers is always a question. As a bit of a yarn addict, I understand not wanting to throw away perfectly good yarn. A great pattern for your leftover yarn, or to create intentionally with new yarn.
The Misty Pines Scarf is a beautifully textured scarf that is perfect for keeping you warm through the chilly months. This scarf features a bulky weight yarn that is crocheted using the loop stitch. The loop stitch is a great stitch to learn if you are a beginner crocheter. This scarf is crocheted in a bulky #5 weight yarn called Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky. Any comparable weight yarn will work for this pattern. Finished measurements of the scarf are approximately 66" (L) x 6.75" (W). This does not include fringe. This triangle scarf is an easy, beginner friendly crochet pattern. I was itching to use Hobby Lobby’s Painted Canyon colorway and I think it worked up lovely in this pattern. The self striping yarns are such a breeze to work with-no color planning, less ends to weave = win, win! This pattern will give you the triangle scarf size pictured: 23.5″ deep by 50″ long. You can continue the pattern to increase your triangle to a full shawl size. This one was made with 3 skeins of Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in Painted Canyon. I think adding another two skeins (with this gauge and hook) would create a comfortable sized shawl. These are so easy to add on to!"
I love the look of crochet rib stitch. This scarf plays with the classic ribs stitch. By combining repeats of different stitches, you end up with a scarf that has one side with thinner textured stripes and the other side with a wider textured stripes. This scarf is reversible with no wrong side. The pattern uses bulky weight yarn so it can be worked up in an afternoon. This pattern can be made with other weight yarns with minimal adjustments being made to the pattern. "
