Little Sprout Bonding Squares

"If you haven’t heard of a bonding square, they are used for babies in the NICU. Mom is given 2 squares - mom wears one against her body and then every 12 hours or so she swaps them out. The smell will help baby bond to mom when they can't physically touch each other yet. Many hospitals are using them to help mom and her new baby to bond while apart. Now, with this bonding square crochet pattern, you can make pairs of them (1 for mom to wear, 1 for baby). Check with your local NICU department to see if they are accepting bonding squares and what their specific regulations might be. "

V Stitch Granny Square Blanket

"The V-Stitch Granny Square Blanket is a continuous granny square. This means that you are essentially making a very large granny square in any size you'd like. This blanket is a perfect square and can be made as small or as large as you'd like simply by repeating the same repeat row. The blanket uses a V-Stitch which gives it a light and airy look. Alternating colors with white gives it a visually interesting and appealing look to it."

Triple Textures 12" Afghan Square

"In 2014, my friend Tamara from Moogly Blog began hosting year long afghan crochet alongs. Over the coarse of each year, she shares 24, 12″ crochet square patterns designed by guest designers and then wraps up each afghan crochet along with instructions for a border. If you were to dedicate a couple hours of crochet time each month, by the end of the year you'll have a beautiful afghan! The Triple Textures 12″ Afghan Square was designed to be afghan block #4 in the 2020 Moogly Afghan CAL."

Secret Garden 12 Square

"This gorgeous floral textured square comes in two different styles. One is flat and lacy, the other has lots of 3D details on the petals! Back post stitches create the texture around the corners and along the edges of the square. I recommend using Red Heart Super Saver, Red Heart With Love, or Red Heart Soft to crochet these blocks with. These yarns come in so many hues that I know you'll be able to find something fun to match your home decor or that of your friends and family if you decide to crochet an afghan with this set."

Sun And Stars Granny Square

"This sun and star granny square was inspired by the old Victorian images of suns and stars against dark blue backgrounds, but it turn outs that other colour combinations work just as well for this square. Using star stitch as the border, gives the 3D sun centre a lovely frame. You will need aran yarn and 5mm hook. Ideal for intermediate crocheters or inquisitive beginners wanting to try new stitches. This start was originally part of the Friendship CAL but can also work as a standalone project."
