Easter Chick Granny Square
"While I was on Pinterest, getting ideas for my Bunny Granny Square of this year's Easter, many lovely pictures of chicks popped up in front of me, in the form of amigurumi, coasters and granny squares. So, as soon as I finished designing my previous one, I started planning this new granny square. As a whole, I'm proud of my animal themed granny squares set so far, and I hope the future ones will be as cute and easy to make too. I wish you all a joyful time crocheting this project, and happy Easter again to all of you who celebrate it. Don't forget to stay safe and healthy, and take care of yourselves."
How To Crochet A Granny Square
"The granny square is the easiest crochet square out there and should be one of the first things a beginner should learn. It sets the start for more intricate patterns and designs. You can crochet a few rows and stop to form classic granny squares which are joined together, or you can continue with the rounds of clusters to make your granny square as big as you like (and even turn it into a one-piece blanket). How do you crochet a granny square? A granny square is crocheted in the round and it's constructed with clusters of 3 double crochet stitches evenly spaced out to form a square shape. This granny square tutorial was designed for absolute beginners with step by step instructions and a video tutorial for those who learn better from watching how it's done. "
Year Of The Ox Granny Square
Hi everyone! It's an every year contribution I've been doing, to come up with a granny square that has the face of the current year's Chinese zodiac animal. So far I've made the chicken, the dog, the rat, and now the ox. And I've also enjoyed making other animal granny squares, such as the cat and the frog, and have a few in the making (a rabbit and other animals) that I'm going to post in the future. The only hard part for me when designing these granny squares is to show as many face traits as possible, while keeping the square easy to make. I think I've nailed it this time. So enjoy making this cute ox as a granny square unit for a baby blanket perhaps, plus, you can totally change the colors to make it look like a cow. Stay safe and healthy, and happy (belated) Chinese new year!
