Crochet Classic Man Hat

This is one more cute and beginner friendly hat that I crocheted last year for my husband. As you see the hat can be done for women as well. For this hat I was using medium worsted weight yarn and 4.5 mm crochet hook. You are free to use any yarn you like, just check my video tutorial to understand how to change the size if you have different gauge. My also one recommendation to use natural and warm yarn

Braided Crochet Hat Pattern + Video

"In this tutorial, I'll be teaching you the braid stitch. You have the option of using one or two colors. Warning, if are using two colors, your secondary color may show through, I personally like that. The materials that will be using today are a 5 mm crochet hook and Caron Simply Soft which is a worsted weight yarn one in the color Iceland blue and bone. I chose Caron Simply Soft because it works perfectly with this stitch. All #4 worsted weight yarns are not the same. The stitches lay flatter with a light worsted weight yarn. With heavier #4 worsted weight yarn such as red heart Super Saver, the stitches came out bulkier. The choice is yours. Material #4 Worsted Weight Yarn - Caron Simply Soft -1 or 2 colors (I used blue and tan) 5 mm Hook Embroidery Needle for Sewing"

"The Ashland Rib Stitch Beanie is a different take on the classic crocheted rib stitch. This beanie has a just a bit more stretch and recovery. This pattern is beginner friendly and is a very quick make. It works up in about an hour. As written the pattern uses 108yds of bulky weight yarn, but can be done in any weight with some adjustments to row length and number of rows. This beanie will fit most adults and teens. "
