Easy-On Mitts
For those of you who are unfamiliar with my Easy-On Mittens, these mittens have a wrist closure option which allows you to open and close the mitten at the wrist. I first designed these mittens for my son because he was so wiggly and I swear he had fingers sticking out all over the place - trying to get mittens on his hands was such a challenge and he always pulled them off as fast as I could get them on. These mittens open at the wrist so you can easily pop the hand into the mitten itself (not getting stuck on the narrower cuff part) and once the hand is inside you can button up the wrist closure and the hand stays inside the mitten ;) You can wear the closure on the underside of your wrist (which is how I did Drew's so he wouldn't try to undo the buttons) or on top - which is how Darla liked to wear hers because she thought they looked ‘pretty' that way. You can alternately whip stitch the cuff closed for a regular pair of mittens - this is totally up to you! These mittens have been requested for many reasons - one of which is for individuals in Nursing Homes. The wrist closure allows caregivers to slide the mittens onto the resident's hands more easily (and less painfully) and then the wrist closure can be button to ensure the mitten stays in place once on.
Star Mittens
Use the ever-stylish star stitch to take these Star Mittens from pattern to reality. This intermediate pattern is a great scrap yarn project that uses two colors, a main body color and a contrasting color for pattern stripes. Three sizes of this pattern are provided, toddler, medium adult and large adult, so you can work this pattern up for anyone in your family.
From the Blogger: These warm mittens are worked using the Star Stitch. No seam is created as you join at the end of each row. Thumb is worked after the main body of the mitten is completed. Cuff is stitched together or you could add a button/loop close instead.
Toddler Cupcake Mittens
Create these super cute toddler cupcake mittens (ages 2-4)! These mittens feature the crocodile stitch to create cute ruffle detail, sure to make your little one smile! These mittens work up fast and use a small amount of medium worsted weight yarn in 4 colors and size I crochet hook. The finished mitten measures 3″ wide and 6″ from the cuff to the top of the mitten (doesn't include the cherry). Make it a set with the matching cupcake hat pattern.
Jennika Mittens
This cute free crochet mitten pattern is a quick project featuring a pretty cable element. Make it in wool for a warmer winter mitten, or in cotton for a lighter weight fall or spring mitten. With multiple sizes included, it's a pattern you'll be able to use again and again. Pattern includes sizes: Toddler, Child, Teen/Adult Small, Adult Medium, and Adult Large. Pattern calls for size 5.5mm (I) crochet hook and aran (4) weight yarn. I used Jupiter Moon Farm's Cumulus for the project shown.
Hygge Mittens

This is an easy level pattern that uses a variety of simple stitches to create a textured mitten pattern with a unique ribbed cuff.
