Fast Care Package Throw

The Fast Care Package Throw is colorful, fun, and very fast to crochet - which makes it perfect for care packages! Whether it's a homesick kid off at college or a friend going through a hard time, sending love you can literally wrap yourself up in is always a very good thing. There are several tricks that make the Fast Care Package Throw so fast to crochet! First and foremost, it's made with 3 strands of yarn all held together. Use all the same color or mix and match to customize this throw! Secondly, the fringe is built right in, so there's no border or edging to make and no ends to weave in. Let's say that again: No. Ends. At. All. Love that! All you do is crochet, cut, and turn - and before you know it, you'll have a Fast Care Package Throw to send to someone special!

Iris Stitch Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

The Iris stitch is a very pretty stitch with a nice drape. It is perfect for a shawl, poncho, blanket or a throw. The stitch looks nice as a solid, and it has a stunning effect when worked in stripes. This Iris Stitch Free Crochet Pattern creates a texture that's elegant and beautiful and with an excellent drape. It is simple to do and works up fast. There is only a one row repeat and beyond the foundation row, all your stitches are placed in spaces and not in a stitch. It is so relaxing and easy to memorize. It looks great paired with basic stitches as an accent and pretty much any other project you can dream up. Trudie Afghan

"The Trudie Afghan is made for snuggling! Constructed with two tone solid granny squares and triangles, this cozy piece looks bold in any room and puts a modern spin on the traditional granny square afghan. For this project I decided to use Lion Brand Basic Stitch. This premium acrylic yarn is perfect for blankets. It's worsted weight, machine washable (and dryable!) and available in 18 colors. Each skein is 219 yards. For the Trudie Afghan you will need 10 balls of you main color and 5 of your contrast color. I used Cream as the main and Tourmaline for my contrast."
