What's more, Poppy used a really chunky yarn to make it, which is why this beanie is such an easy and quick project to do. "This hat uses a unique stitch combination to create a woven appearance. Hat is worked side-to-side in rows to make a rectangle which is then folded together, seamed and top of hat sewn together. Hat is worked by alternating colors from two yarn cakes or by working both ends of the same yarn cake, switching colors every second row. Perfect pairing with self-striping yarn but could also be made in a single color or with alternating two solid colors.
