When Red Heart debuted it's An Italian Story yarn line, I couldn't wait to get started designing with it! The Ombra caught my eye right away - and when I put the pink and orange colorways together, they immediately reminded me of a beautiful sunrise - and that inspired the Tuscan Sun Wrap! The Tuscan Sun Wrap is a simple, center out, rectangular shawl worked in a four-row repeat. It's easy to customize for your perfect size. And it's easy to memorize, making this the perfect pattern to crochet while traveling the Tuscan countryside - or binging travel shows from the couch!

Missing Holiday Sun Shawl
Missing Holiday Sun Shawl is a crescent shaped Tunisian crochet shawl combining traditional looking Tunisian simple stitch with rows of lace. It is constructed top down and uses 200 g of sport weight yarn that is light enough for spring and summer but still gives a bit of warmth, which lends it to be a great layering option for chillier evenings and long walks outside. The Shawl is worked flat, RS facing from right to left.
Caramel Fudge Ripple Wrap
The Caramel Fudge Ripple Wrap is a simple and easy crochet wrap pattern. The stylish wrap or shawl looks gorgeous in both self-striping and solid yarns. The silt stitch is easy to do once you master the repeat. And, the stitch naturally tilts so the wrap also slants slightly on the bias for a stylish look. The wrap is generous in size. It can be worn several ways. Wrap it over one shoulder. Or, drape it over both shoulders. This pattern would also work well as an easy crochet prayer shawl pattern.
Tuscan Moon Shawl
This pattern is available for free. The Tuscan Moon Shawl is a pretty and quick shawl that echoes the stitch pattern of the Tuscan Sun Wrap but in a whole new shape and yarn! Shortly after debuting the Tuscan Sun Wrap, I got a reader request - a triangle shawl version! I knew the stitch pattern would present a challenge, but after lots of math and experimentation, I'd like to think I got it right. The Wrap was made with Red Heart An Italian Story Ombra, a lovely color shifting yarn with some wool in it. So for the Tuscan Moon Shawl, I wanted to highlight another great yarn that would work for either pattern, but has no wool in it - and Colorscape was the perfect choice!
