Here's one of our own designs that you can try making. These crochet bookmarks are super easy to make and quick to crochet, too! You only need a small amount of yarn, and you're good to go.
Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth
I whipped up this very quick and easy scrubby dishcloth. If you haven’t worked with Scrubby Yarn before, this would make a great first project. This easy dishcloth is crocheted with a larger sized hook (7 mm) and uses only simple stitches. The Double Thick Scrubby Dishcloth is crocheted with 2-strands of Scrubby Yarn held together. I chose to use 2 different colors from my Stash but you could just as easily use 2 strands from one ball of yarn. This scrubby dishcloth took me less than 15 minutes to crochet - so I'm sure you will have it done quickly too!
Double thick and super squishy, its small size makes it particularly good at getting into smaller corners and edges. I personally prefer smaller dishcloths for cleaning, they are just easier for my hands to hold onto! Try this pattern and let me know what you think! Maybe you will decide you prefer small dishcloths too! You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.
Shay Coasters
The Shay Coaster is an easy crochet project worked in simple single crochet stitches. You can also use this little square as a mini washcloth too. You'll need just a small amount of worsted weight cotton yarn per coaster, making this a great stashbusting/scrap yarn project. I used WeCrochet Dishie Yarn for mine. If you are only making a coaster that will house a cold or hot beverage, you can use acrylic yarn (like Red Heart Super Saver) as an alternative with an I9/5.5mm hook - just do not put anything fresh from the oven on the acrylic coaster, or you will melt the fibers and risk burning yourself. I was able to work up one coaster in just under 20 minutes.
