Tapestry Crochet Coaster Set

Filet crochet is hardly the only technique for making crochet coasters. Tapestry crochet is another great option for a set of coasters that complement one another.

Diamonds Coasters

The Diamonds coaster is a simple crochet hexagon coaster, it's crocheted using the crochet filet method to create the diamond shapes. This crochet coaster is really quick to make and results a beautiful hexagon shaped coasters. The Diamonds Coasters are crocheted using double crochet, chains and treble, so if you master these stitches you are good to go! Using the filet crochet method with mainly double crochet and chains, you create the diamond shapes while crocheting in the round, and by only 7 rounds you can make this beautiful crochet coaster!

Filet Crochet Coasters

One unique crochet coaster pattern uses filet crochet reminiscent of vintage doilies. If you can't read filet crochet charts, that's okay because the designer also includes a symbol chart. This pattern is one of a set of three different patterns that you can mix-and-match for square coasters.

Whimsical Pumpkin Coaster

How to crochet a whimsical pumpkin coaster that is perfect for Fall decorating or on the Thanksgiving table under some Pumpkin Spice coffee. You'll need 20 yards of worsted weight cotton yarn per coaster - I used WeCrochet Dishie for mine, but Lily Sugar n Cream, Bernat Handicrafter and Red Heart Smoothie are good alternatives. If you are only making a coaster that will house a cold or hot beverage, you can use acrylic as an alternative (like Red Heart Super Saver) with an I9/5.5mm hook - just do not put anything fresh from the oven on the acrylic coaster, or you will melt the fibers and risk burning yourself. I was able to work up one coaster in just over 15 minutes.

Shay Coasters

The Shay Coaster is an easy crochet project worked in simple single crochet stitches. You can also use this little square as a mini washcloth too. You'll need just a small amount of worsted weight cotton yarn per coaster, making this a great stashbusting/scrap yarn project. I used WeCrochet Dishie Yarn for mine. Mug Rug Coaster Set

You will love the look of this set of coasters on your coffee table. Make these for yourself or as a gift. This pattern uses a worsted weight #4 cotton yarn. What makes the set unique is that the pattern includes 2 designs to make a set of 4 coasters. Both coasters use the sames stitches (double crochet and single crochet) but the placement of those stitches is what makes the 2 coasters patterns different.
