Right Round Square

Squares and Blocks

The Right Round Square is a free crochet 12-inch square pattern that I designed for the Wedding Blanket Crochet Along with the Red Heart Joy Creators! This square also works well for the MooglyCAL - just use the same size hook as you have for your other squares and omit the last round if needed for size. Alternatively, you can make a blanket of all this pattern or mix and match for your own custom creation! Or of course, you can mix and match it with any squares you like for your own custom creation! I hope you enjoy this 'spin' on the crochet granny square! Video tutorials coming soon!

How To Crochet A Granny Square

Squares and Blocks

"The granny square is the easiest crochet square out there and should be one of the first things a beginner should learn. It sets the start for more intricate patterns and designs. You can crochet a few rows and stop to form classic granny squares which are joined together, or you can continue with the rounds of clusters to make your granny square as big as you like (and even turn it into a one-piece blanket). How do you crochet a granny square? A granny square is crocheted in the round and it's constructed with clusters of 3 double crochet stitches evenly spaced out to form a square shape. This granny square tutorial was designed for absolute beginners with step by step instructions and a video tutorial for those who learn better from watching how it's done. "

English Garden Afghan Square

Squares and Blocks

The English Garden Afghan Square is a crochet granny square that features rows of unique stitches and bright, vivid colors. This crochet square would make a perfect accent square in a crochet granny square afghan, and would look great in any color.

From the Designer: "This square is gorgeous! It has a decidedly geometrically organized look, like a formal english garden and the color combinations just speak of the blooms in a garden. Of course you can make it in as many or few colors as you like since the square also has nice texture. Pair it with simple solid squares for a truly elegant throw.
