Isn’t this little crochet penguin buddy a cute winter companion? My boys have been asking to keep these penguins for themselves ever since I crafted them up. I think they might find them under the tree this year as their gift from mommy. You don't have to be little to enjoy this penguin stuffy! He is cute for holiday decor or to just have around. And of course I think he makes a great gift for all ages.

The very first amigurumi toy I made was a penguin. With this easy beginner pattern, perhaps the very first amigurumi you make will be a penguin too! If you use aran-weight yarn and a 4.0mm hook, the penguin will come out to 3.5 in (8.9 cm) tall. But you can use any hook and yarn size you want - the penguin will just grow smaller or larger with you. It's written in US terminology and crocheted in the round.

This mommy and me seahorse amigurumi set is pretty quick to work up and so fun! This pattern includes instructions for making the mommy and the baby sea horse. Mommy seahorse measures about 6.5 inches from top to bottom, while baby seahorse is about 5 inches. These seahorses are worked from the bottom up, starting with the tail and ending with the head (in one piece). Then the mane, snout, and fins are attached at the end. This pattern is one of the five patterns in my ocean themed amigurumi series. Please meet Kevin, the Snowman, and his special Christmas Tree! Have you bought your Christmas tree for the season? Kevin has a special Christmas tree also for you!
Kevin is approximately 18 cm from head to toe (7″) and approximately 20 cm (7.8″) with the hat on. The Christmas tree is23 cm (9″)tall. They are made of soft cotton yarn, good humor, and love.
You can use any other yarn you find suitable - Kevin and his Christmas tree can come taller or smaller but still a lot of fun to crochet and become friends with.
