This mommy and me seahorse amigurumi set is pretty quick to work up and so fun! This pattern includes instructions for making the mommy and the baby sea horse. Mommy seahorse measures about 6.5 inches from top to bottom, while baby seahorse is about 5 inches. These seahorses are worked from the bottom up, starting with the tail and ending with the head (in one piece). Then the mane, snout, and fins are attached at the end. This pattern is one of the five patterns in my ocean themed amigurumi series. Emil, the Preemie Crochet Octopus
Meet Emil, the cute preemie octopus crochet pattern. Do you crochet for charity? Have you heard about preemie octopus before? They're cute little amigurumi octopus (or jellyfish) suffed toys. Yes, they are adorable but that's not all. Scientific research has shown they actually help preemies get better. “The purpose of the crocheted octopuses is to promote comfort and development for the pre-term babies while in the hospital. The tentacles of the soft octos mimic the feel of the umbilical cord in their tiny hands and have been found to soothe the babies and help prevent them from pulling on wires and tubes.” Octopus for a Preemie-US Project Ambassador Randi Palm of Lonsdale Emil is an easy, beginner-friendly plush crochet octopus pattern. Only single crochet stitches are used throughout the pattern. Guidelines on size and construction were followed to be sure you can donate your crochet octopus to charity.
Sea Turtle Amigurumi
Meet Honu the Sea Turtle! Measuring about 6.5 inches long from head to tail, this cute little turtle is a great size for cuddling and playing with, but is not too big to sit on a shelf as a decoration as well. There are also so many possibilities with shell colors that you could make a whole family of turtles, each one looking unique! This sea turtle is worked up in pieces and then sewn together at the end. This pattern is beginner friendly with detailed, step-by-step photos to help you along the way, but it also fun for more experienced crocheters as well.
