I made this hexagon in two ways. I found that this hexagons have different look when making them in solid and two-tone. To make these hexagons I used special stitch called front post bobble stitch (fpbobble). This stitch adds 3D effect and beautiful texture to the hexagon pattern.

Ice Flower Square
Small (5 inch) granny square using a simple technique to gain a raised petal effect. Worked in caron simply soft and 5 mm crochet hook, you can quickly crochet several squares to make a cozy blanket. The raised/puffed petals and leaves give the square a lovely tactile effect and the green colour means that these squares are perfect for spring afghan after all the heavy colours of winter. I gave the square the name ice flower because it reminds me of the brave young flowers shooting up at this time of year.
