The Tunisian Crochet Crescent Bag is a unique crochet pattern to work up because it doesn't use a traditional crochet hook. Instead, a Tunisian Afghan Hook is needed to work up this particular crocheted bag, in addition to a regular 6.5 mm crochet hook. This bag is made in three different Tunisian crochet stitches, in the short row technique, for its unique look. After crocheting, the bag is felted, giving it extra strength. Tunisian crochet is a great medium for felting and produces beautiful results. The crocheted tote measures about 17 inches across and 16 inches tall (not including handle).
Tunisian Watermelon Bag
The Watermelon Tunisian Bag is worked using Tunisian crochet stitches and an afghan hook. This bag is a great way to practice your Tunisian Crochet stitch work as well as a great way to practice how to change colors in this craft. "This Taryn Soap Cozy is an easy tunisian crochet project perfect for pampering yourself, or gifting with a handmade bar of soap or facial scrubbies!), a favor/candy pouch, or a small gift bag (gift with a new pair of earrings or gift bag!). You'll need some worsted weight yarn - I used WeCrochet Dishie. As a soap cozy, you'll need 100% cotton, but as a candy pouch or gift bag, acrylic yarn is an option with one hook size up. This soap cozy took me about 1.5 hours to work up, and uses the Tunisian Simple Stitch, or TSS, for the majority (minus the eyelet row)."
