"The Iris stitch is another one of my favorite stitches. It has a flower-like look, it creates a “Holey” fabric and still has more of a modern look. It's a great stitch to use in blankets or as a border. After designing the Iris stitch in a square, many have asked me if there's also a way to make this stitch in a rectangle, so I had to make another tutorial! This pattern enables you to decide the dimensions of the rectangle by changing the number of the initial chains. "

Iris Stitch In A Square
The Iris stitch is another one of my favorite stitches. It has a flower-like look, it creates a “Holey” fabric and still has more of a modern look. It's a great stitch to use in blankets or as a border. The stitch consists of dc's and chain which makes it very easy and is what makes it also works up really fast, which is a bonus! When you work a blanket from the middle out, it gives you more freedom to decide the blanket's size as you go."
Magic Granny Square
From time to time, I sit down between large projects experimenting new small crochet pieces, such as coasters and granny squares. Sometimes nothing interesting comes out. But I think this time it really turned out well. A magic granny square that turned from circle to almost square without the usual angles made of number of chain stitches. Materials Yarn: Alize cotton baby soft, 50% cotton, 50% acrylic, 100 g. / 270 mt. (3.53 0z. /295 yds), four skeins of color winter sky 514, two skeins of color light yellow 643. Hook: 5 mm, US. H/8 Tapestry needle Level: easy Granny square dimensions: (5.5 * 5.5) “2, (14 * 14) cm2 approx. Blanket dimensions: (32 * 25) “2, (84 * 64) cm2 approx.
Victorian Romance Square
Practice the popcorn stitch with this quick crochet granny square pattern!
From the blogger:"During my square designing kick, I first made the Native Sun Square, which had great texture. It was followed by the Mingle Square and the Primrose Square, which are equally as beautiful, but lacking the textures. So, I knew I had to make another that just 'popped.' The design of this 6-inch square reminds me of Victorian-era decor. Plus, the pop stitches look like hearts! This square would be great for many projects, but I definitely like it for an afghan."
Rectangle Crochet Granny Square Pattern
This rectangle granny square pattern is a new way to make a neat centre to your granny rectangle. It is not a full pattern to make a completed item but a tutorial to create a granny rectangle and for you to get creative with.
It would make a lovely blanket, or table runner or cushion, or anything else that lends itself to this shape.
