Super Chunky Gia Afghan

"I originally designed this pattern back in 2014 and it only included one baby size, but in it's recent update (2020), it has received a new name - Gia, which represents one of my series featuring designs made with one large continous granny square, and six more sizes including two photography blanket sizes perfect for layering, newborn, toddler, child, lapghan and throw. The newborn blanket size took me just over two hours 15 minutes to work up, so that's definitely a plus working with the super chunky yarn."

Basic C2c Chunky Afghan

"This crochet pattern is for a basic, chunky, beautifully textured corner to corner afghan. Worked in two strands of worsted weight yarn (or one strand of chunky weight yarn), this cozy afghan works up fairly quickly. My afghan is worked in a solid color, but you could use some Caron Cakes yarn (or similar) for an easy, colorful afghan, or change colors as you see fit. For my blanket, I used about 8.33 (1/3) Skeins of Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in the Ivory colorway (two strands held together). In it's place, you could use one strand of chunky/bulky (#5) yarn. Take a gauge. If you don't mind a slight difference in measurements, gauge isn't essential. You could even go up a hook size, and use super bulky yarn for a larger blanket. This afghan took me just over 11 hours to work up."

Suzette's Chunky Afghan

"This crochet pattern is for a chunky, beautifully textured afghan featuring the Suzette stitch pattern, which is comprised of simple single and double crochets. Worked in two strands of worsted weight yarn (or one strand of chunky weight yarn), this cozy afghan works up fairly quickly. For my afghan, I used I Love This Yarn approximately 2.33 skeins of Black, 3 skeins of Red, and 1.5 skeins of White (two strands held together). In it's place, you could use one strand of chunky/bulky (#5) yarn. Take a gauge. If you don't mind a slight difference in measurements, gauge isn't essential. You could even go up a hook size, and use super bulky yarn for a larger blanket. This afghan took me just over 11.5 hours to work up."

Super Chunky Striped Shay Afghan Crochet pattern

The Super Chunky Striped Shay Afghan is an easy crochet afghan pattern worked in simple single crochet stitches and fun color block stripes. 11 sizes included, and super chunky yarn means it’ll work up fairly quickly. You'll need some super bulky yarn. I used Bernat Blanket Yarn in Smokey Green and Dark Gray, but you could also try holding 2-3 strands of worsted weight yarn together with the same crochet hook size. The newborn size blanket took me just under 4 hours to work up.

Triple Textures Afghan

Earlier this year I designed the Triple Textures 12″ Afghan Square for the Moogly 2020 crochet along. During the CAL, several crocheters asked if I could size grade the 12″ afghan square into a crochet blanket.
This is how the Triple Textures Afghan came to be! If you are a visual learner, I have a video tutorial for the Triple Textures 12″ afghan square that you can use for this crochet afghan to help you along the way!

Log Cabin Arrow Crochet Afghan Pattern

The Log Cabin Arrow Crochet Afghan Pattern may look very intimidating, especially to a beginner, but in reality it's an easy crochet pattern to work up. With 11 crochet colors involved you'll find yourself mesmerized as your work up the afghan. 24 squares are worked individually with the log cabin style and then joined together following a diagram. This is certainly one easy crochet afghan pattern you'll want to display in your home for all to see.
