I'm sharing this easy crochet chemo cap pattern in support of the 2018 Cancer Hat Challenge. Sharing a crochet cancer hat pattern with you all means a lot to me, because my grandma Linda, the matriarch of our family, is a breast cancer survivor. To survivors: we celebrate your strength! To those of you who have lost loved ones to cancer: we remember them, and honor them with our craft. For those still fighting cancer, the crochet community wants you to know that you are not alone. A crochet chemo cap is a small gift, but it's what we have to offer. Know that it comes with our prayers for your healing, and our hope for your future.

Desert Hope Crochet Slouch Beanie
In the Designer's Words: I must admit that this design is so easy and quick that I made two in one evening, and I am not a fast crocheter by any means. This beautiful slouch beanie works up quickly, and you may choose from two different ways to finish it for two different looks. Design is perfect for chemo caps and any temperatures.
This free crochet pattern is insanely simple and quick to work up. In just one evening, you can crochet the Desert Hope Crochet Slouch Beanie. Versatile and pretty, this darling slouchy hat pattern is stunning in pastel pinks and purples, but could easily be crocheted in a dark charcoal or grey for an edgier look. No matter the color, you will adore wearing this comfy creation. Loose-fitting and casual, this pattern has a hip vibe that is hard to ignore. This hat pattern make a great chemo cap pattern, as well.
Family Beanie Hats Crochet Pattern
The holidays are always a time when I do a little extra for the ones I love. Because what's a holiday without your loved ones? If you're looking for a way to show you care, the custom beanies make a thoughtful gift for the whole family this season. They're affordable and unisex so you can make them for everyone! I made mine in colors that look great on everyone too: cream and navy. I made the adult size in the rich blue with white trim and a white pom pom. Then, to switch things up a little I made the children's size (which typically fits 2-4yrs) in a cream with navy trim.
Hopeful Butterfly Hat
The Hopeful Butterfly Hat was designed for the Crochet Cancer Challenge and can easily be customized to represent any cause by changing the color to match any awareness ribbon. This hat is made with 3 stripes because the Thyroid Cancer Awareness Ribbon is Purple, Teal, and Pink. I also chose to add butterflies for dual purpose: 1) the thyroid is a butterfly shaped gland at the front of your neck, so the butterflies represent the thyroid and 2) butterflies are the symbol of hope, endurance, transformation, and new beginnings.
