Walter the Whale is a cute little amigurumi project. You can crochet him im an evening with only some left over yarn and two black eyes. (Stitching on the eyes instead of plastic one is also perfectly fine.) Walter will do great as a key chain. Or you could make multiple whales to put them on a mobile above a crib. They look great in every color. Before you know it you will have a whole rainbow of whale lying around ;)
Neil the Narwhal and Wendy the Whale Free Crochet Pattern
Neil the Narwhal is not as hard to crochet as it might seem, because all you need to do is to follow the instructions and have a little bit of patience. Both whales are 32 cm long and 17,5 cm wide. Adorable, I love it!
