I didn't even think this blanket would turn out as amazing as I saw it in my head, and now I want to keep it for myself. But, alas, I made this for my older sister and I'm so thrilled that it will be hers and I know she will love it.

Criss-Cross Baby Blanket
Chain 140 (If you want a smaller or larger blanket, just make sure you chain in even numbers) Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook. DC in each stitch to the last stitch. Ch 3. Turn. Row 2: Skip first stitch and DC in next stitch. DC in stitch just skipped. Repeat until 2 stitches remain. DC in last stitch. Ch 3. Turn. Row 3: Repeat row 2. Row 4: DC in next stitch and each stitch across. Repeat rows 2-4 until desired length. Mine measured about 36”.
Marvelous Mermaid Tail Blanket
This week on the blog there has been a Fishing Net Blanket and a Mermaid Baby blanket, so let's keep that theme going with now a Marvelous Mermaid Tail Blanket. The Mermaid Blanket is designed for older children (about 3-12 years). This blanket is fun to make and bulky projects are quick projects too. Do you know of a little girl who would love to be a mermaid and can do that while being comfortable snuggled up reading a book or watching tv? The Mermaid Blanket uses basic crochet stitches to make this design.
Jagged Scrap Yarn Afghan
For this project you will need: HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US YARN: All the scrap yarn colors were worsted weight yarn 4 ply US, 10 ply AU Also the Off white color I used in between as well. I was able to get 10 rows of Off white before I had to change to a new skein. I used 2 and a 1/2 skeins of it, but I didn't make a border. If you wish to, then I would grab a third. I didn't want to use much of this color because it's a scrap yarn afghan and don't want you to have to go get more yarn. About the color pattern Since this pattern uses scrap yarn, I won't be telling you which colors to use. I used this color wheel to help me organize my color choices. I've never been a fan of the mixed color of scrap yarn afghans so I decided to do mine in a more organized fashion starting with my Maroons, Reds, Oranges, Browns, Yellows, Golds, Greens, Blues, Purples, Pinks and back to the beginning of the color list. Feel free to go with what feels right to you. This Jagged Scrap yarn afghan is made using a stitch I discovered while playing around with yarn. I don't know why all my discovered stitches mostly use two stitches to create and this one is no different. Lol. But other than the butterfly stitch this one is surely the most easiest one to recreate! Let me take you step by step on how to make this stitch so you can use it in making your own scrap yarn afghan to use up some of your left over wool.
Griddle Stitch Gingham Blanket
Here is a slightly modified and fun griddle stitch project with a lovely pattern of intersecting green stripes. The intersections additionally show intensified color, giving the blanket a more colorful look.
Margot Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern
"With the Margot Baby Blanket i found a crochet stitch which is actually a filet crochet stitch pattern and then i integrated a border seamlessly so you just crochet the border on both sides of the blanket as you are crocheting along which automatically gives it a finish look, how easy is that! On the top and bottom of the blanket i didn't put any border on as i actually quite liked it already and felt it didn't need a border but you can add a border if you wish.
