Lucy's Baby Blanket

Ever since I designed my Abigail Cowl I have wanted to make a blanket with the same stitch sequence. So when my grand daughter, Lucy, was born I knew just the blanket to make. I chose Bernat Blanket Stripes yarn in Grape Soda (2 skeins/ 440 yards) and Pow Purple (100 yards). Description The pattern is written for a baby blanket. Instructions included to make any size blanket, from any weight yarn. Materials Yarn: Two big skeins (440 yards) Bernat Blanket Stripes, 100 yards of contrasting yarn to finish border. Crochet Hooks: M/N 9mm Miscellaneous: Yarn needle for weaving in ends. Finished Measurements: 34” square or desired length and width.

Bubble Burst Blanket

The bubble burst blanket is great fun for children for both playtime and bedtime. It has rows of large bubbles to burst and the blanket border has smaller bubbles the also pop out. The large bubbles are made by making individual squares which are crocheted together during the project (no-sew). The smaller bubbles on the blanket border are made using the popcorn stitch (instructions included). You can make the blanket as small or as big as you like by simply adding or removing squares. Aran/worsted (weight 4) yarn. I used ‘Stylecraft Special Aran’ in the following colours and approximate amounts: Red: 393m/430yd Yellow: 196m/215yd Pink: 196m/215yd Green: 196m/215yd Orange: 196m/215yd Purple: 196m/215yd Blue: 196m/215yd Total: 1568m/1720yd Supplies you will need: - Crochet hook 5mm - Sewing needle - Aran/worsted yarn - Scissors Recommend skill level is easy/intermediate. The pattern is written in USA terminology. You will need to know basic crochet stitches (sc, hdc, dc, tr) as well as the popcorn stitch. Instructions for the popcorn stitch are included. Finished sizes Individual square - L13cm x W13cm Complete blanket: L95cm x W82cm

Materials: Worsted (4) Weight Yarn, Pound Of Love in Antique White (2 skeins,1550 yards), Succulent (1 Skein, 470 yards), and Taupe (1 Skein, 400 yards). 6.00mm Crochet hook Yarn Needle Scissors Finished Blanket Measurements: 50X64” Pattern Notes: The Ch1 and Ch2 do not count as stitches The Antique White color will be used for Hdc stitches and Hdc (FLO) stitches throughout. Taupe will be for Sc stitches throughout and Succulent will be Dc throughout. Be sure when you cut your yarn after each color that you leave tails long enough to weave in.

Jumbo Blanket Pattern

DESCRIPTION The Koma Kulshan blanket is -45 inches by -60 inches; standard throw blanket size. It's perfect for curling up on the couch with or laying across the end of your bed. I made my Koma Kulshan Blanket with Premier Yarns Couture Jazz Yarn in Mist; a lovely neutral that is surprisingly bright and cheerful. MATERIALS Premier Yarns Couture Jazz (Weight: 7/jumbo - 81.5 yds, 500g) 4 skeins needed or 2 kg of yarn for blanket pattern (definitely go for the 500g skeins, I was short one ball and had to run out and buy five 100g skeins and it's just too short to deal with!) Tulip Stitch At Twilight Baby Blanket

I have a secret. My most favorite color in the world just might be every shade of purple in this delicious Tulip Stitch at Twilight Crochet Baby Afghan. This bit of grape-y goodness reminds me of a gorgeous summer evening just as it's drifting into the darkness of night. And this stitch. Sigh. The Crochet Tulip Stitch just might be my go-to baby afghan pattern stitch from now on. Why? Because it NATURALLY forms this little scalloped border on all sides. What?! You say?! YESSSS…. I know.. mindless crochet project just got even better.

The patchwork blanket is made using the Elizabeth stitch (AKA mini bean stitch). You can make the blanket as small or as big as you like plus the pattern includes a handy size guide so you know how many square lane to make.

DK (weight 3) yarn. I used ‘King Cole Pricewise DK’ in various colours. 1 Square - 15m / 16yd / 5g 1 Border - 23m / 25yd / 8g
